In the spring of 1862, three men from Tennessee arrived to Mackinac Island, not as tourists or explorers but as prisoners of the federal government. Join Mackinac State Historic Parks’ Registrar Brian Jaeschke as he explores Fort Mackinac’s summer serving as a political prison, and the fate of the three men held as prisoner. Presented at the Station 256 Conference Room above the Mackinac Island State Park Visitor’s Center. This is a free Mackinac Parks: 125 event!
