I am a full-time Island resident, and would like to thank everyone who visits for supporting our economy and way of life. Many times we have been presented with money in exchange for letting a little bit of our uniqueness slip away, but hosting so many tourists keeps puts us in a position to remain steadfast. Your patronage has given rise to local businesses, and put local kids through school and college. We do our best to make sure everybody sees the real Mackinac and enjoys their visit. Thanks to everybody who came, we can keep living in such a beautiful and historic place.

My husband and I spent the same day in Mackinac every year in August. It celebrates the start of our relationship and our engagement. We also like to try to come up a few more times a year in winter and the warmer months. Its the greatest place on earth and I recommend it to everyone I know. Thank you for keep up such a wonderful place that holds a VERY special place in my heart and my husbands.

Our family has visited 'magical' Mackinac Island for the past 25 years. We make our annual 'five day' pilgrimage each August and have stayed at many of the fine island hotels and eaten at most all of the fabulous eateries. Each summer, I make the rounds to my favorite points of interest and relaxation - the Gardens&Labyrinth at Grand Hotel/the back porch of the Island Library (where I search for just the right 'island' book from their used book sale - always a terrific souvenier!) / the Tea Room at The Fort and the front lawn at Mission Point. And Hubbard's Annex - the beautiful view of the Cottage homes that were first developed by my ancestor, Mr. Gurdon Hubbard. What a joy to have our own 'Mackinac' connection in our famly tree! We look forward to our Summer of 2004 annual visit!

I can count on one hand the summers that I have missed visiting Mackinac Island for over 40 years.... I, nor my family, were ever disappointed... It is truly a Magical Place.. More hats should be off to the dedicated Island Residents and Officials that fight the good fight, year after year, to keep it that way, so that everyone and anyone who cares to can have the opportunity to feel that magic, generation after generation.....

My grandparents lived in Petosky Michigan, so going to the Island was a regular treat when I was growing up. I spent many hours biking the paths of the Island as a child, eating fudge, pressing my nose to the windows of the the shoppes, and wishing I could go horse-back riding just once, please! ...and now I am going back to spend a few days with my own son for the 4th of July weekend. I can't wait!

We spent our honeymoon at a bed and breakfast on the island in Sept. of 2002. We plan to return this summer, as it is the most relaxing, magical place we've ever been.

Ever since I stepped foot onto Mackinac Island it has been my favorite place to visit! Mackinac Island is like a whole new world with it's romantic, victorian charm and the sweet smell of fudge and lilacs. Thanks for such a peaceful getaway and I hope to visit sometime this summer!

It has been such a long time ago since my husband of 15 years and I have been to the Island. We are looking forward to attending the Lilac Festival this year and introducing our two boys to the sight and sounds of a different kind of place! See you in June.
