I have worked on the island and am now planning my wedding up there. It is the best place to create memories with friends and family.

My family and I have been to Mackinac Island three times. We are returning this June. My daughter who is now 16 prefers this vacaction over going to Disney world. She says the beauty is real, [not manufactured] We love the history, the clear deep water, the horse drawn buggys, the magnificent views, the fort is awesome, and the shops are lovely. What we enjoyed most was all, were the people who were biking the Island, who had not been on bikes since the days of thier youth. There are smiling faces every where.Every time I go, I try to drink in the vista's and pray that when I'm home that I will be able to close my eyes and remember!!!!

Hi!
I've been one time on Mackinac Island. I enjoyed it very much, it's such a nice island, I like especially the beautiful landscape, the nice houses and that there aren't any cars but only horses and bikes. In addition, the bridge between the upper and the lower peninsula of Michigan is pretty fascinating.

Loved the movie 'Somewhere in Time' and have wanted to visit the island ever since!! Getting married in July and it would be a dream come true to have the ceremony on the island!

I LOVE Mackinac Island. I had only been there once when I was little. Then last summer for the fourth of July, my family went there and stayed at the Grand Hotel. It was great. We stayed for a week and it felt awesome. It was very relaxing and there was plenty to do. The scenary is absolutely gorgeous. I can't wait to go back there again.

There are NO words to express the wonder, the peace, the beauty of this island. I will never stop talking about it. I will never stop dreaming about it. And I will not stop until I get a chance to visit again! A little bit of heaven right here on earth.

Originally, I was born and raised in Philadelphia, Pa...never knowing that places like Mackinac Island exsisted...well, that is until my husband & I made a trip up there to visit friends who live in Cedarville and we made the trip to the Island with them. I fell in love from the moment I set foot on the dock. We will be working up there this summer..I know we will be making many trips back to the Island during our 5 month stay. I highly recommend that this place be seen by everyone at least once in their life-time. It is truly "Somewhere In Time"
