I have only been to the Island a hand full of times and it is truly wonderful. The atmosphere is magical, the experience is what one can only imagine. The carriage rides and dinner at "The Woods." you can't ask for a better night, good food and good friends. Thank you for the experience.

My husband and I visited Mackinac Island 5 years ago. We really enjoyed the area, from the lighthouse at Mackinaw City to the Beautiful Bridge. We loved bicycling around the island. We are returning with great anticipation. This June for our 8th anniversary. I love seeing the dragonflies and butterflies in the spring. The Lilacs must really attract them. (:o])

Went up there in 2000 and I just loved it. Plan on going back there to relax and enjoy the place.

I was making the Murdick's best fudge in 2002. It still is the best summer in my life. I met my girlfriend there... IF YOU NEED TO REST, YOU NEED TO GO TO MACKINAC ISLAND. THIS CAN CHANGE YOU LIFE... nerijus.norkevicius@mail.lt

This has to be the best place in the world to relieve stress, Hawaii has nothing on this place!

Mackinac is the ultimate getaway. Most people dream of the tropics, laden with white beaches and massive hotels. I dream of Mackinac. Ever since I was a child, I've been to the island every summer, staying at my friends' cottage below the fort. It has become a ritual, albeit a very good one. The peace found there is like no other place; horses clop by, lilacs bloom and the smell of fresh-made fudge meanders through the alleys. This site is a tribute to a wonderful place, and I would recommend this island for anyone; it's so diverse, anyone could find their own special nook in the life of Mackinac.

My husband and I visited the island last July for our 10th anniversary. It was beautiful and we hope to come back someday with our 3 children. We especially enjoyed the carriage tour and biking around the island. The views were spectacular!

My husband and I had our first visit last fall. I still can hear the clip clop of the horses, and I miss it terribly. I have never felt such peace. Truly heaven on earth. We will be returning soon.

I have been to the island twice in my life & am planning a third time with my wife. I was there with my parents when I was in 8th grade, & was there on my honeymoon with my first wife in 1977, & would like to plan a stay with my present wife, in the near future. I really enjoyed the bike ride around the entire island, on my honeymoon in 1977, but will take the buggy rides now, as age has taken it's toll on me. Looking forward to seeing any changes there have been in the last 25 years.
