I HAVE BEEN COMING TO THE ISLAND SINCE I WAS 2YEARS OLD AND I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THE PEOPLE FOOD AND JUST ALL AROUND ATMOSPHERE. MY MOST MEMORABLE MOMENT WAS THE SOMEWHERE IN TIME WEEKEND WITH MOM. THIS YEAR WE WILL BE CAMPING WITH OUR KIDS IN MACKINAW CITY FO THE 4TH OF JULY WEEKEND AND I AM SO LOOKING FORWARD TOO IT.

We visit every year and we love ride around the island and love stopping to get a snack along the way.WE also love the people that work at the hotels, we have made many friends.I love the scenery and the beautiful houses up on the bluffs.We come every year around the lilac festival and love to watch the parade.I love Mackinac!!!!!!

As a native of Las Vegas, which is a desert, I appreciate the beauty of Mackinac Island. I enjoy the quaint atmosphere of the island and the recreational activities. And I can see the stars (you cannot see alot of stars in Las Vegas because of the bright lights). I'm planning to visit the island for the 4th of July.

I love coming back every summer to visit the Island. What memories I will cherish. I never got to go to the Island growing up. As my sisters did with my mom after I left home. I would have loved to gone to the Island with her. She always wanted to stay at the Grand but never got the chance. I would have loved going there with her. Last year me and 2 of my sisters got to stay at the Grand for the Memorial weekend. I can't tell you what a joy that was and the memories we made. We left something very special of our Moms hidden there,we feel like a part of her finally got to go to the Grand. It was a very special time for us and we will never forget it or Her. Thanks Mackinac.Com for this site. It really gets me through some ruff days. God Bless

I absolutely agree with Clint from Pestoskey about Mackinac Island being more beautiful than Hawaii. I went to Hawaii in March with my husband,it was nice and we had a great time and all,but It no way holds a candle to Mackinac Island. I have traveled to Michigan every summer since 1998 just to go to the Island. I was raised in Michigan but never went. Can you believe that? Now I wouldn't miss my trip back for anything in the world. My son Jake has fallin in love with the Island as much as I am. My other sons are not as eager to go back. The only way to describe it and only a true Island lover will understand. "When you take your first step off the boat it either captures your heart or it doesn't" It has captured mine and my son. We will always love coming to Mackinac. ALWAYS! We log onto this site everyday to look at Main St from Horns Bar Cam & The Island House has a web cam also. Check it out. We love staying at the Lakeview. We will be there in June. Can't wait!

I am looking forward to returning to the Island for this years Lilac Festival. It is the start of another wonderful season, at the most wonderful place on earth. Mackinac Island is truely a magicial place, and I'm happy to be able to enjoy it.

THIS YEAR I WILL BE WORKING ON THE ISLAND AND I AM VERY EXCITED ABOUT IT SINCE I HAVE NEVER BEEN THERE. JUST SAW A JOB AND APLLIED AND GOT IT . THEN I LOOK AT THE ISLAND THRU THE VIRTUAL TOURS AND REALLY GOT EXCITED .

We will be returning to Mackinaw Island for our fourth visit in June. We can"t wait because we will be sharing the trip with our married daughter who has never been to the Island. We have traveled to many destinations, but favor Mackinaw as the best, for beauty, peacefulness, quaintness, history, exercise [biking] and fun. It takes you back in time to a simpler era. The restaurants are wonderful,the motels are Victorian, the water is gorgeous, and the natural wonders are interesting. If we could live here we would.
