We recently spent two nights on the Mackinac Island and were so impressed that we will return again in September 2005. What a magnificent, serene place without automobiles and was just pure pleasure. The Lake View Hotel was superb, delicious food, great shopping and the Grand Hotel was awesome. You can really relax on an island like this one. Can't wait to return!!

We just got back from Mackinac last night. It was my first time there, and it was so nice. I recommend staying at the Clearwater Lakeshore Motel. Make sure you get a lakeside room so you can have a full view of the bridge. I also recommend eating at Ma Ma Mia's Pizza downtown. Mackinac is not as expensive as I thought it would be. I hope that this is helpful. Make sure you go check out the mystery spot, it will have you scratching your head. I can't wait to get back to Mackinac.

I worked on the rock from 89-91 and loved almost every second of it. I'm going back to visit this Sept and can't wait to see it again.

To Laura T, i've stayed on the island many times and after reviewing all of the rates i'd suggest the Murray hotel it has the lowest rates. Even cheaper than the Bed and Breakfasts, they seem to be the same price as the hotels if not more. So try the murray its a nice place with nice people. The pool there is small but nice. Great place to stay

Having spent many vacations, 9 to be exact, on the island, I feel there is no better place in the world to "get away from it all."
Although I have not returned to the island for the past 5-6 years, it continues to be a goal of mine to return to the beaty and relaxation of that "other time."
I was always amazed how much the island changed from year to year, between vacations and I can only begin to imagine how much things have changed in the past years.
I look forward to my return and I hope that some of my most loved memoeries will be renewed.
I tell everyone that will listen, that Mackinac is "A Beautiful Place, Somewhere In Time."
Until we meet again...Love to the Island.

To Laura T. Take him to the fort, rent a tandem bike and ride around the island along the shoreline, go to Arch Rock, stop in at some of the Pubs. Gosh there is so much to do. Trust me you will love it.
