Was told this was beautiful. We came on our class trip and it met all expectations,Class of 1956 Parkersburg High School. We didn't want to leave, the flowers and houses are beautiful. Oh the Grand Hotel magnificent.

My husband and I went on our honeymoon 4 years ago to this wonderful place! Mackinac is my favorite place to visit, it is where I feel the most relaxed. We are planing to come again in 10 days with our 2 year old daughter in tow! We just celebrated our 4th anniversary October 6th and this little trip is our gift to each other. I hope to make it a family tradition. We stayed at the Lake View Hotel right on Main Street. Wonderful Place to stay!

I LOVE MACKINAC ISLAND. My first visit was in 1967. Then when I had children, I introduced them to the Island. I hope to retire (in 8 years) to the Island. The Island is so beautiful to all the senses and I can't wait to come again next September. This truly is the place to be.

Vacationed in Mackinac in July 05. My husband and I enjoyed our stay in Mackinaw City. We visited the island, and was so excited and amazed of all the beautiful flowers and how clean the island was kept. What a great place to relax and enjoy the beauty of this great place. We will certainly be back to visit again soon, maybe sometime this fall!

Between visits to Mackinac I like to visit the website and browse around remembering how absolutely magical it is being there. If you're like me, go to the Island House web site (under Accommodations) and at the bottom of their home page click on the link to Greg Tillotson's website. He wrote the charming music you hear when the Island House home page opens. His music, too, will transport you to "another place and time". I have downloaded it to my computer and often listen to it when I'm working around the house or just plain trying to relax. Unfortunately, I've been unable to contact Greg to buy a music cd to take on the road with me when I go on mini vacations, color tours, etc. I especially like the Piano 11 Midi. It is about 45 minutes of pure musical enjoyment. Enjoy!

Mackinac has such a magical fascination for me that every time I visit there I come away feeling like my soul has been refreshed and I can attack life anew. It is pure magic!

My stay on Mackinaw Island was surprisingly accessible! AS a result, this wheelchair user will be back!
