The first hints of spring are here in IL. The first place that crosses my mind is Mackinac Island. I close my eyes and try to picture all of the flowers beginning to bloom, and all of the innkeepers and shopkeepers tidying up for the beginning of another wonderful summer on the Island. I can't wait to go in June!! It will be the first Lilac Festival we have attended! The kids and dogs are staying at home, it's time for us grownups to go play!!

We stayed at the Island House in May 2002 for our 20th wedding anniversary and it also happened to be the hotels 150 year celebration that weekend which was so awesome. We not only left with great memories but also left with a pregnancy that we thought we could only dream about after 20 years of infertility. It was a miracle and it could not have happened in a more beautiful place. Now our little blessing is 4 years old and we are going back to the island to celebrate our 25th anniversary. This will be the first time that we will go away without him, but what better place to go than Mackinac Island. We just have to make sure that we don't bring home any more souveniers that's all. Looking so forward to our trip in May!!! Kaleen & Brad

I am looking forward to the Lilac Festival this year. Really enjoy sitting on the porch of the Metiever and watching people go by.

We are thinking about visiting Mackinac Island this summer & I knew the owner of the Small Point Tourist Home at one time & would like to get in touch with him. That is the only listing in accomodations that doesn't have a phone #. can someone help me with that? Thanks

I love mackinaw I am only 17 years of age and I have a lot of family history up there, I love the Library, I don't remember it very well, but from what I can it is a dream on a cove.

A big greeting to all that have ever visited this magical island. Those of us fortunate enough to have spent entire summers on Mackinac will always cherish that time in our lives. I wonder if any of my old friends visit this site... Emily, do you still have your shop on the island? Even in my little slice of paradise here on Clearwater Beach, I'm often day dreaming of the magic that is Mackinac Island. See you this summer!

I just wanted to say that I am enchanted wiht Mackinaw Island. It's dazzlingly blue water makes you squint your eyes to make sure it really THAT goregeous. Compared to places like Put-In-Bay and other islands, I would rather come to Mackinac. Thanks for keeping nature natural.

Greatest Island anywhere! A must see --- have to stay overnight ( at least one ) to experience the true Island feeling!
Our favorite place!
