I actually saw Mackinac on HGVT last night on their Christmas Town special. Machinac looks like such a pleasent and nice place to live. I hope maybe one day to come visit. I esp. love the idea of having no cars or truck around. That's nice.

I've been to Mackinac Island with my choir. We've spent the whole day riding bycycles and stopping at shops. They have the best fudge! It was the best experience I have ever experienced. It was so relaxing and it was a great chance for a lot of us to just hang out for the day. If I had another chance to go back, I would.

My husband and I have been to the island 3 times in the last year! We love the island and the people - we plan to return again next year. I would love to experience a winter on Mackinac. The only 2 words to describe Mackinac Island is beautiful and peaceful.

HI!
My grandma is MaryKate McGreevy. She currently is living in manistee at the nursing home. She lived on the island for 43 years. My grandma was the organist for St. Anne's Church. Recently my grandma has taken a turn for the worse. We don't know how much longer we will have with her. If anybody reads this and knows who she is can you please say a prayer for her and my family. I love you grandmama!!!!

As a little girl I was first introduced to Mackinaw Island when my parents took me there for a summer vacation. We would ferry over from Mackinaw City & enjoy a day on the island. Imagine my surprise when my husband surprised me for our honeymoon in September a 4 night stay on the Island. We enjoyed every moment of it & I never imagined how peaceful it could be. We stayed at the beautiful & charming Chippewa Hotel & those memories will be with us forever. We will make it an annual trip & cant wait to bring our children to the island.

My wife and I were married on the Island 8 yrs ago, and since then this has been our yearly getaway. Visiting the Island is one thing but staying overnight is worth every penny spent. The Island will always have a special place in our lives.
