We just got back from Mackinaw Island and it was a wonderful trip. Everyone on the Island was so friendly. It was a perfect day with weather in the seventies.

I think when everyone goes to Mackinac Island, you never want to leave...I know I don't want to leave when I'm there. It is a remarkable, beautiful, phenomenal vacation spot for everyone!!!

I really wish I could of made it to Mackinac Island this year. It makes me sad, because it is my favorite place to go! Hopefully next year we will be able to make it back to the Island. :0(

I love, love, love Mackinac Island!!! The homes, landscaping, shops, etc just so great!!! The one thing I felt not good about was that the whole bike thing was out if control on the main street, there should be a area to park yr bike close to the main st instead of having people almost crash into children, horses........ I feel the street is not
big enough where people need to ride on it back and firth all day....should be opened for the porters only carting the luggage.

We went to the island for the 4th of July. It was great. But I think the island and the surrounding areas should combine their resources for one giant fireworks display.

I was there when the bridge opened in 1957, walked on foot across the bridge with Gov. Williams, how exciting, and we sold grass heads, in the city. Like a cheeha pet, how things have changed eh... been there every yr. for many years. Love it.

I went to Mackinaw Island since I was 3 y.o. I took my children there, and grandchildren, and the best is the walnut homemade fudge, and Karmelcorn. Will always be a fond memory of mine. Thank you Mackinacs....Jeralynn

I've been going to Mackinac Island since I was a young girl. I'm now a Mom and going with my family. We have been lucky enough to go nearly every year for the last 10 to 15 years. It is absolutely my favorite vacation spot. There is definitely something magical about the particular combination of water, horses, fudge, the Victorian architecture. You are literally suspended in time in a different world while you are there. The trip to the island on the boat is always so fun and we are full of anticipation for all the activities and fun we will have...rain or shine...summer or fall. Leaving is always a bit depressing...but at least I always have the "next trip" to look forward to.
